Importance of Time

Time is an extremely precious concept and understanding its importance and
Those students are very fortunate who give their time its due attention. And those students who don’t recognise its importance and value will be the ones who do not reach lofty positions.

Those who reach a high status in this world are those who value time, such people live on in this world even after their demise, meaning that they leave behind a legacy and treasures that people benefit from them for a very long time.
For example people like Iman Abu Hanifah (RA), Iman Shafi’i (RA) and Iman Bukhari (RA), these people truly respected time and valued it importance.

So for this very reason, by recognising its importance and we will be walking in the footsteps of such pious scholars and it is no exaggeration to say that we could attain such positions InshaA—h.

That is why students should make the most of whatever time they have left (whether you are in first year or in the last) as time passes very quickly. Morning to evening and evening to morning. We don’t even realise how fast time passes any more.
A time will come when you graduate, then your youth will have gone and then, before you know it, the angel of death will be calling.

It has been mentioned in a Hadith:
“When Qiyamah nears, the years will feel like months, months will feel like weeks and weeks like days”
For this reason, whatever time you get in your student days you should take advantage of it and take care of it wholeheartedly.
Every day that passes, decreases our lifetimes by one day. That is why we must use our student days wisely, doing Iyaadah and Mutala and not being occupied by useless activities.
The time to learn is NOW and by being neglectful of this we are setting ourselves up for regret. We can probably relate to this with examples from our own lives; whether it is our laziness to revise for a test or our lack of studying for an exam. Whatever the situation we feel an enormous sense of regret when we get back our test results.
Let us not be this way when it comes to the knowledge of Deen. The time to study is NOW, the time to make a change is NOW..
May A--h grant us the ability to make full use of our time and help us gain knowledge of the Deen so that we can firstly benefit ourselves and our society..Ameen..
